About this role

Evaluation Factors: Mandatory Technical Requirements This is a position in the Inspector General Executive Service (IGES). The following Mandatory Technical Requirements (MTRs) are required to be addressed in a separate narrative response not to exceed 4 pages (one page per MTR); however, the successful candidate should be capable in the following areas: Demonstrated experience supervising, managing, planning and conducting complex criminal investigations into areas such as procurement fraud, executive misconduct and public corruption, financial fraud, mail theft, healthcare claimant and provider fraud, and other types of employee misconduct.

Demonstrated experience functioning as a senior level manager with responsibility for establishing work plans and overseeing a staff of subordinate managers and investigators. Demonstrated experience with the development and oversight of budget, training, performance management, and strategic planning. Superior oral, written, and presentation communication skills, with an ability to articulate and present ideas both to internal staff and external stakeholders.

You will no longer be considered for this position if you: fail to respond to all of the questions in the assessment questionnaire; fail to address a factor in the narrative section (no response or "See resume" or similar language will be scored a zero (0)); or receive a zero (0) rating on any evaluation factor. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS You must meet ALL of the minimum qualifications listed below. Current USPS-OIG or USPIS 1811 career employee Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Have served in a leadership position in the Federal Law Enforcement 1811 series Criminal Investigator Must have at least 1 year of experience at the equivalent (GS-15) Director Band At least 7 years of professional federal law enforcement experience Experience directly supervising, managing, planning, and conducting complex criminal investigations Received at least a met expectations rating on your most recent performance appraisals (FY 2024 and 2025) DESIRABLES QUALIFICATIONS Experience or knowledge of the Inspector General (IG) community Experience or knowledge of the Postal Service and its operation Graduate level education Applicants that do not meet the eligibility requirements will not be considered.
